A Pocketful of Posy

My name is Becca. I am 26 years old, wife to Michael and mama to Posy.

On Saturday 2nd February 2019, Posy Elizabeth Lyons made her way into the world and it was the best day of my life. Sadly, we were only given 2 weeks to spend with our little girl and we had to say goodbye to our Sweet P on Saturday 16th February.

In the weeks that have since been and gone, I have begun to process my loss and the pain of my grief through writing and I have decided to put it all into a blog. Mainly to occupy my time with something creative, but also to help me sort through my (many!) thoughts and feelings. I am also desperate to remember every single moment of the short time that I spent with my daughter and thought that this might be a good way to document it.

I hope that this might help those who are doing their best to love and comfort me understand what I am feeling, give an insight to my experience of grief, but also that it might find and encourage someone else who may be struggling with the loss of a child.

So feel free to join me as I attempt to piece together my journey as a mother and navigate my way through life without my beautiful Posy. This is my battle with grief, my ponderings, my Posy.
